About Us

Hey there!

We are David and Lindsay Kalsow, the opinions and palettes behind Fox Cities Food. Our average night consists of us coming home from work, making dinner, and watching Food Network. We have always loved food, and at times, a bit too much.

The inspiration for this blog came after celebrating our first wedding anniversary at one of our all-time favorites, Carmella’s in Appleton. While we were devouring a truly delectable meal, I (Lindsay) said, “This food is so good. I wish everyone could taste how amazing it is.”

That’s the moment we realized that we wanted to create a restaurant review blog to share our meals with the world!

Have you ever tried to find restaurant reviews online? It’s awful! The first few listings are Trip Advisor followed by Yelp – so a bunch of mixed reviews and poorly taken photos of food. It’s hard to get a real sense of how a restaurant is off of those websites, in my opinion. Here you will find honest, up-to-date reviews on local eats to help you choose your next celebration, date night, “too lazy to make dinner” night out, and everything in between!
