Valentine’s (& Galentine’s) Date Night Ideas in the Fox Valley 2023
The month of love! Whether you are looking to plan a hot date for your special someone or go out for ladies night, we have compiled a list of special Valentine’s Day themed menus in the Fox Valley. Go ahead, just send this blog to your boo or put it in the girls group chat now.
Two quick things: 1- If we missed one, please send it to us and we will add it to the list. 2- We didn’t check for availability so get those reservations in ASAP!
For a night out
Salt Fine Dining has a 3-course couple’s feature with bruschetta, prime rib, lobster tails, and cheesecake. We have yet to dine here for dinner, but we took advantage of their Mother’s Day brunch last year and it was really good. We have every intention of going back to try their regular menu! They also have those cute heated igloo/domes that would make for a fun date night any day.
Apollon is pulling out all the stops and serving a 7-course (yes, 7!!!!) menu for Valentine’s Day. We actually enjoyed their Valentine’s menu a couple years ago and it was a dream. If we were going this year, you better believe we’d be getting the saganaki, sea bass, and the desserts honestly look too good to even decide. Read our blog about Apollon here.
Il Bar will be hosting a 3-course dinner on February 11 complete with jumbo prawns, tiramisu, and mocktails included!
Field & Fire has a special Valentine’s menu from February 4-14 (excluding Sundays). This is a great option if you’re looking for a more quiet meal, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. We also love the open kitchen here.
If you’re up for a drive, for a Packer fan, the views don’t get any better than Taverne in the Sky at Lodge Kohler and they are offering a 4-course menu from February 10-14. We also highly recommend grabbing a gift card for the Kohler Waters Spa for a gift that your Valentine will surely love.
Last but not least, Carmella’s doesn’t have a Valentine’s menu that they’ve announced but it’s always a top pick for date night regardless. Rye and Draft Gastropub are good ideas too!
For a night in
This year we are choosing to stay in and our treat ourselves by pre-ordering Whisk & Arrow’s chocolate and raspberry cake. We had their chocolate strawberry Valentine’s Day cake a few years ago and it was INCREDIBLE. They have other special treats available for pre-order as well.
Don’t feel like cooking but still want to stay in? Go grab yourself some ramen to go from Bowl Ninety-One.
